Rodent
Rodents can thrive in just about any environment, however Brisbane has the perfect climate for rats and mice. Our hot summers and warm winters provide the perfect surroundings for rodents to breed and they love nothing more than nesting in your home.
Rodents breed very quickly so a small rodent problem can become a large rodent infestation very quickly. Statistics have shown that two mice put together on New Years Day will result in one million mice by Christmas Day. Rodents also carry many nasty diseases which makes them a significant health hazard. Rodents are also very destructive and gnaw constantly and this can result in considerable property damage. Rodents can chew through wiring in your home and roof void, in car engines and damage appliances such as air conditioning units and dishwashers.
Homeowners often hear noises in their roof or inside their house walls which is a telltale sign rodents have taken up residence. Other signs to look for if you suspect you have rodents in your home, are their droppings which are usually found around a food source. Rodents are also attracted to dog and cat food which will attract them to your home. Rodents carry many diseases including salmonella and cause contamination of food in your home.
Hibbett’s trained technicians will conduct a thorough site inspection of your home, including all internal areas, up in the roof void and around the grounds of your property.
The placement of locked and replenishable rodent bait stations is the safest and most effective method of rodent control. The stations are childproof and pest safe and can only be opened using a purpose key.
Rodents
The rodents will feed on the baits secured inside the station then will go away to die, usually down a drain as they seek to find water. The professional rodent baits used by Hibbett’s Pest Control PL will not cause secondary poisoning to animals that may consume a dead rodent.
Do It Yourself Rodent baiting is dicing with danger. Rodent baits purchased from the supermarket or hardware store are highly toxic and contain secondary poisoning ingredients. This means should a dog or a bird of prey eat a rodent which died from consuming the baits – they will likely die as well. Don’t risk your dog becoming a rodent bait statistic.
If you suspect you have a rodent problem in your home, call Hibbett’s today and one of our trained technicians will visit to conduct a site assessment and provide you with the safest method of ongoing rodent control.
